The Ultimate Greenhouse Inspiration List
For some reason, I’ve been filling my Pinterest boards with hundreds and hundreds of pictures of greenhouse inspiration recently. I just started gardening, and now I’m daydreaming about my future house with a massive garden and a giant greenhouse attached to the building. Imagine curling up with a book by a fireplace, surrounded by your plants, looking outside to your garden as you listen to the pouring rain hitting the windows… UGH. I want to be there immediately.
Unfortunately, I’m stuck with daydreaming for now. So instead I wanted to share 25 of my favourite greenhouse/conservatory inspiration images that I will one day incorporate into my own dream house one day.
Metal Greenhouses
These are the classic-looking houses that I usually think of when imagining a greenhouse. I love the look of the black metal with wood benches inside, full of greenery. I like the look of the white greenhouses as well as the green ones which look like they belong in Central Park.
Cozy Greenhouses
Now THESE are what I’m talking about. The black metal exteriors with cool, colourful, and vintage-inspired furniture inside to cuddle up on… a fireplace roaring when it gets a little chilly outside… surrounded by plants… ugh. A dream. I’ve seen a ton of conservatories/greenhouses on Pinterest that do a great job mixing plant space with relaxation space. Ideally I would love enough room for some bookshelves and even a dining table to host dinner parties on a summer night.
Potting Greenhouses
Of course, the main use for a greenhouse is for gardening, so there needs to be room to pot your plants! There are so many cute ideas on Pinterest of practical yet beautiful potting tables and indoor beds. A must-have in your greenhouse!
Small Greenhouses
If you don’t have that much room for a giant conservatory-type greenhouse, there are plenty of cute mini ones! These are usually detached from your house and found right in the middle of your garden, and are mainly used just for gardening. I’ve seen plenty of cute ones with extra seating on the outside or even squeezed inside if there’s room.
Wooden Greenhouses
These wooden greenhouses are similar to the metal houses but they would fit right in on a farm. Personally, not the look I want but they’re still cute nonetheless!
