Hi!
I’m Nicole, a 29-year-old girl from Ontario, Canada with an insatiable curiosity for the world and a serious case of wanderlust. So far, I’ve been to 30 countries, and I have no plans of slowing down any time soon! Whether it’s exploring historic streets, hiking rugged landscapes, or indulging in local cuisine, I believe that every destination has something magical to offer, and I want to share it all with you!
This blog is where I spill all my best travel tips, guides, itineraries, and recommendations to help you plan unforgettable trips. Whether you’re a fellow solo traveler, a budget explorer, or someone who just loves dreaming about new places, my goal is to make travel feel accessible, exciting, and most importantly, doable!
My Travel Style: Boujee on a Budget
Let’s get one thing straight right off the bat: I am not a hostel girl. My need to re-charge my social battery far outweighs the cheap price of a hostel, and my version of “backpacking” is rolling my suitcase down cobblestone streets while searching for the perfect mid-range hotel or Airbnb. I love finding budget-friendly ways to explore, but I also believe in spending on experiences that truly make a trip memorable. My travel style is a mix of:
- Affordable accommodations (but no shared dorm rooms- ever!)
- A blend of self-guided adventures & must-do tours
- Free activities (because some of the best experiences cost nothing!)
- Ticketed experiences (museums, historic sites, and can’t-miss attractions)
- Great food & drinks (because what’s travel without indulging a little?)
I don’t believe you have to spend a fortune to have incredible experiences, but I also believe in making the most of every trip. Some days, I’m on a free walking tour, and others, I’m splurging on a once-in-a-lifetime dinner. It’s all about balance
My First Solo Trip & What I Learned
One of the biggest travel milestones for me was my first solo trip- a six-week adventure that took me through Spain, England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, and Ireland. While I wasn’t technically “backpacking,” I traveled cheap, avoided unnecessary splurges, and made my budget stretch as far as possible. It was the ultimate learning experience, and I left that trip with a whole new level of confidence in myself.
The biggest lesson? Solo travel is freeing, empowering, and sometimes a little lonely. I love being Miss Independent and exploring at my own pace, but I also realized that I want to push myself to be more social on future trips. Meeting new people and sharing experiences can add a whole new layer to travel, so that’s something I’m working on.
