30 Ways to Style a Maxi Skirt!

A good maxi skirt has become an essential part of my spring and summer wardrobes. I’m not gonna lie, maxi skirts used to intimidate me. I could never figure out how to style them, and I felt like every time I put one on I looked like I belonged in a tavern instead of looking like the cool girls on Pinterest.

If you’ve read my previous blog posts (like my 5 Cute Canada Day Outfits or Fashion Trends to Try This Spring posts) you’ll know that I’ve been on a journey to improve my style game this year. I’m tired of wearing the same 3 outfits every time I leave my house since that’s what I’m comfortable in. Instead, I want to try new trends and experiment more with the pieces I buy, and adding a maxi skirt (or two) to my wardrobe has opened up a whole slew of new outfits to try out.

There are so many different options for maxi skirt styles as well. You can get a cute floral skirt that flows, a structured denim skirt, a silky satin skirt in a fun colour, the list goes on! Maxi skirts really work on any body shape as well. I personally hate showing off my lower stomach with any kind of tight-fitting clothing, but a flowy skirt helps to hide that area in a flattering way. There really is a style for everyone!
